Dr. Kathryn Finlayson BSc., DVM
Dr. Kathryn Finlayson is a 2002 Ontario Veterinary College graduate. Dr. Finlayson has years of experience working in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine. Since a young age, she has dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. Proud owner of the Coburg Animal Hospital – Dr. Finlayson is excited to help service the town and surrounding areas. When she is not working Kathryn can be found watching her children at different sporting events. The majority of winter time is spent in a rink watching her children play hockey and figure skating. In addition to running kids around – her family has a variety of pets including 4 dogs, a cat, pet pig and polish hens. Three of her children would like to follow in their mother’s footsteps and become veterinarians. As a result, Dr. Finlayson’s business model is a small animal privately owned and family run veterinary business.
Lily Fischer
Veterinary Assistant
Lily Fischer is a veterinary assistant who grew up in a town outside of Ottawa, Ontario. From a young age, Lily has loved animals of all kinds, as well as fostering a deep love of science. She spent her high school years volunteering with veterinarians, then moved to Halifax to continue her education at Dalhousie University, and stayed to continue working as a veterinary assistant. Currently, she owns a Dalmatian named Theo, many types of fish, and two cats named Tosey and Mouse. Lily spends her free time enjoying agility with her dog, snorkelling, scuba diving, fossil hunting, painting, and underwater photography.
Faith Rice
Veterinary Assistant
Faith is dedicated and compassionate with a passion for helping animals and providing excellent care, having graduated from a veterinary technology program in 2018. Outside of her professional life, she is an avid animal lover and a proud pet parent to three dogs: Maverick, Gus, and Oso. They bring her immense joy and her personal experiences with them have only deepened her understanding of animal behaviour and the importance of care for pets. When she is not caring for animals at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and agility with her dogs. She is committed to providing the best care possible to the animals she works with and loves every animal she meets
